If there is one thing we like to harp on that we excel at its Porting.
If you’re not familiar with the term, “porting” refers to the process of transferring your phone number from one carrier to another. In the US, this is a relatively simple process—you just have to contact your new carrier and they’ll take care of the rest. However, there are three different types of porting that you should be aware of: timed porting, on-demand porting, and overnight porting. Here’s a quick overview of each.
On-Demand Porting:
Porting your phone number is easier than you might think. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the process of porting your phone number in just a few minutes. We’ll also provide some tips on ensuring the process goes smoothly.
The first thing you need to do is determine whether you are eligible to port your phone number. To do this, you will need to contact your current service provider and ask for a Letter of Authorization (LOA).
Once you have your LOA, the next step is to contact your new service provider and request that they initiate the porting process.
Once the porting process has been initiated, you will need to provide your new service provider with your LOA.
The last step is to wait for the porting process to be completed. This typically takes between 5-10 minutes, although it can sometimes take longer depending on the carrier. Once the porting process is complete, your new service provider will activate your account and you will be able to start using your new phone number!
Timed Porting:
Timed ports are rare because they require more coordination between the losing and gaining carriers. In a Timed Port, there’s an agreed-upon time of day where both parties will trigger their port within 20 minutes from now on either side if possible – but not sooner than that! For example: If we set our timed ports for 1pm then it could happen anytime between 11am until 2 pm
Overnight Porting:
